Club History

Holmes Place Netball was originally established in 2003 in conjunction with Didsbury Holmes Place Health Club. Following a change of ownership in 2006, we began to play independently at Parrswood High School. By December 2009, we decided to establish ourselves as a local club to provide a opportunity for women of all ages to practise and develop in the sport of netball.
A committee was elected in January 2010 to help develop and meet the needs of the increasing number of members. A regular two hour training session with a qualified coach was required, so team training sessions moved to the Energy Box in Levensulme on Monday evenings from 8-10pm.
In June 2010, we entered two more more teams into the Manchester Evening News League (MENL) and now have three teams playing in this league.
Due to our the club expanding and developing we decided to move our training venue to Manchester High School for Girls in Fallowfield in September 2013, this has allowed all of our teams to continue training throughout the season on a Monday evening whilst playing our home matches on a Thursday evening.
